Development Plan Amendment

A Development Plan is the Planning District’s vision for future development throughout the District, and identifies the type and location for future development (e.g. residential, commercial, industrial, etc.), as well as policies related to future developments (e.g. transportation, municipal services, environmental protection, etc.).

A Development Plan Amendment is a proposal to make a change to the Development Plan, either to the policies for new development, or to the type and location for future development (e.g. from agriculture to residential).

Development Plan Amendment applications are decided on by the Red River Planning District Board.
